06-15-09 JD is a lucky lucky boy. A good samaritin found him and took him to animal control. When they heard he would be euthanized they couldn't leave him. He had obviously been on his own for some time. His paw pads were torn up and he was so emaciated he could barely stand. The first day I saw him (days later) he could still barely walk. With love, care and good food he has made a great recovery. He's neutered, up to date on shots and is on heartworm preventative. His foster home (that can't keep him much longer) has other dogs, cats and small kids. He does fine with all. He is a little shy when first meeting men, but will warm up quickly. He is tall and when he puts his weight back on will be a big boy. We know he's part husky, unsure of the other, but maybe hound or lab. He's fairly young, 1-2 yrs. Please give this sweet, beautiful boy the chance he deserves to be in a loving home.
