Hello, my name is Tess, and boy am I happy to be here to tell
you my story!!!  See, these nice people at the rescue literally
saved my life...my puppies and I were scheduled to be "put to
sleep" along with more moms and puppies than I could count.  It
was horrible.  Several nice people and rescue groups heard
about what was happening at the "shelter" (crazy name, huh?  I
thought shelter meant safety...) and rushed over to help. They could only take 13.
Unfortunately, lots of mamas and babies had already been put to
sleep to "make space", but I was a lucky one.  They could have
come for me and my kids at any moment, but thank goodness the
timing was right for us.  I feel so sorry for my poor friends
who didn't make it.

So, now my very sweet babies have been adopted by wonderful
humans, but I am still here at the rescue.  The humans here
love me and take great care of me, but I'll admit it, I am
lonely.  I love humans and kind attention in any form!  It's a
little embarrassing, but since we're friends, I'll share with
you...I get so happy to see people that when they speak to me,
I can't control myself...I have this overwhelming urge to dance
in circles to show them how happy I am!  The humans seem to
love it, which make me even happier.  I'd wag my tail, but I
don't have one, so I dance in circles instead!  They seem to get
the message...

I am about 3 years old, and about 55 pounds, and done growing
thank you very much!  The Shepard in me is obvious, but I dont know too much about my parents, so the rest is a mystery.  I am
crate trained, and although I do not live in a house right now,
the humans suspect I might very well already be something
called "housetrained".  No more puppies for me...I have been
spayed.  My shots are all current and I have a microchip.
Based on the lack of care I had in my "past life", I was
heartworm positive, but the rescue group has had me treated and I'm doing very well.

I would love to go to a home and live with a family...I have
heard about "families" and they sound wonderful.  I am not a
big fan of other dogs or cats though, so I'm hoping that my
forever home will be happy with me being their only pet...I
promise to give so much love and dance around for you so much,
that I will more than make up for being your only furry
companion!

I hope you come to meet me soon.  And if for some reason I
don't sound like the right girl or you, please come see my
neighbors...we all get so happy for each other when one of us
finds a family!!!
